Produced by Sligo fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada\, the long running show features top Irish music\, song and dance in an engaging performance rich in humor and boundless energy. \nThe family-friendly performance features stunning vocals from Cathy Jordan along with lively instrumental tunes on fiddle by Mac Diarmada\, flute and uilleann pipes by Caoimhín Ó Fearghaíl and harp by Gráinne Hambly. They perform along with thrilling old-style Irish dancing from Samantha Harvey. In addition\, evocative photographic images provide a backdrop to some of the rich historical traditions of Ireland. \nThe holiday show was first conceived in 2005 with past tours featuring such stellar guest vocalists as Niamh Farrell\, Séamus & Méabh Begley\, Teresa Horgan\, Lumiere. DESCRIPTION:In celebration of their 20th Anniversary\, ISing Choir will perform the West Coast premiere of “To Shiver the Sky\,” a musical journey celebrating the spirit of exploration and mankind’s quest to conquer the heavens. This monumental oratorio on the history of flight\, composed by Grammy Award winner Christopher Tin\, will be performed under the direction of Stephen Galván with full orchestral accompaniment\, and feature acclaimed soloists Arwen Myers (soprano) and Steven Evans-Renteria (tenor). The work sets to music various texts by the world’s greatest astronomers\, authors\, inventors\, and pilots\, including da Vinci\, Copernicus\, Jules Verne\, Amelia Earhart\, and John F. Kennedy. Also included on the program will be the world premiere of “Perfect Silence\,” a new work by composer and former ISing Assistant Conductor David Walters commissioned by ISing Choir. “Perfect Silence” is a musical exploration of how and why we come to know the universe. The concert will conclude with “We Come A-Darkly Caroling” by David Lovrien\, a compilation of Christmas favorites sprinkled with humor and wit.

Joined by his wife\, violinist Maggie O’Connor\, the duo delivers dazzling fiddle tunes and soul-stirring duets that celebrate the depth and beauty of American string traditions. \nMark O’Connor began his creative journey at the feet of American fiddling legend Benny Thomasson\, and the iconic French jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli. Today\, he has melded these influences into a new American classical music\, and is perpetuating his vision of an American School of String Playing. Mr. O’Connor has won three Grammys\, seven CMA awards and several national fiddle\, guitar and mandolin champion titles. Mr. O’Connor has composed nine concertos and two symphonies recorded by the Baltimore Symphony\, London Philharmonic\, Colorado Symphony among others. O’Connor is well-known for his chamber music including his million-selling composition “Appalachia Waltz” featuring Yo-Yo Ma for the Sony Classical label. Dr. O’Connell is a founding physician of Boston Health Care for the Homeless and has spent his 40-year medical career serving unhoused patients\, including “rough sleepers” who sleep on the streets. To treat their many illnesses\, Dr. O’Connell emphasizes a style of medicine in which patients come first\, joined with their providers in what he calls “a system of friends.” \n\nAuthor and physician Abraham Verghese says of the book\, “I couldn’t put Rough Sleepers down till the last page… I am left in awe of the human spirit and inspired to do better.”

His book My Life As A Goddess made NPR’s 2018 Good Reads List. You may know him as “Staff Homosexual” on Chelsea Lately or from No Strings Attached. As a TV writer\, Guy was supervising producer on The Other Two\, wrote for The Mindy Project\, HACKS\, and numerous other shows including A League of Their Own and Q-Force. \nJULIAN BRAVE NOISECAT \nJulian Brave NoiseCat is a writer\, Oscar-nominated filmmaker\, champion powwow dancer\, and student of Salish art and history. His writing has appeared in dozens of publications\, including The New York Times\, The Washington Post\, and The New Yorker. NoiseCat has been recognized with numerous awards\, including the 2022 American Mosaic Journalism Prize and many National Native Media Awards. He was a finalist for the Livingston Award and multiple Canadian National Magazine Awards and was named to the TIME100 Next list in 2021. His first documentary\, Sugarcane\, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary. Directed alongside Emily Kassie\, Sugarcane premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival\, where NoiseCat and Kassie won the Directing Award in U.S. Documentary. NoiseCat is a proud member of the Canim Lake Band Tsq̓éscen̓ and descendant of the Líl̓wat Nation of Mount Currie. We Survived the Night is his first book. \nSASHA DEBEVEC-MCKENNY \nSasha Debevec-McKenney’s debut poetry collection\, Joy Is My Middle Name\, was called an Essential Read of 2025 by The New Yorker. Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker\, New York Review of Books\, and Yale Review. She was the 2020–2021 Jay C. and Ruth Halls Poetry Fellow at the University of Wisconsin and a 2023-2025 Creative Writing Fellow at Emory University. She was born in Hartford\, Connecticut. \nMAX GOMEZ \nSinger-songwriter Max Gomez grew up in Taos\, New Mexico\, where he fell under the influence of country blues early on and developed a songwriting style that was uniquely his. He received critical acclaim upon the release of his debut album Rule The World (2013\, New West Records); and his subsequent EP\, Me and Joe(2017\, Brigadoon Records)\, contained a freshly minted classic\, “Make It Me\,” which has gained over 4 million listeners on Spotify alone. He has shared billing on hundreds of stages with stalwarts of the genre like James McMurtry\, Buddy Miller\, John Hiatt\, Patty Griffin\, Tommy James & The Shondells\, and Jeff Beck. His forthcoming album\, Memory Mountain\, will release this summer.
