Philippine Ballet Theater’s Sarimanok + Pinamulan Exhibit + Iconic Filipino Designers Exhibit

As part of FAAPVI’s Capital Campaign, FAAPVI presents this 3-in-one event:
1. Performance of SariManok: Experience the magic as the Philippine Ballet Theater transforms the stage into a breathtaking realm of folklore. This mesmerizing ballet draws audiences into mythical landscapes, where the magnificent SariManok, a legendary bird adorned in dazzling colors, graces the scenes. The performance promises to be a feast for the senses, harmonizing intricate choreography, stunning costumes, and evocative melodies that resonate deeply with the rich heritage of Filipino culture.

2. Project Pinamulan Exhibit: Attendees will be invited to explore an immersive exhibit celebrating Mindanao’s artistry. This journey will include live demonstrations by master artisans, showcasing the delicate weaving techniques that embody the spirit of craftsmanship.  These skilled “Dreamweavers” will reveal the delicate techniques behind their craft. As they weave intricate pieces, guests can engage directly with the artisans, allowing for a deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship and the cultural stories that intertwine with each creation. This experience will not only highlight the artistry of Mindanao but also foster a connection to the dreams and aspirations that these artisans embody in their work.

3. Fashion Showcase: The event will shine a spotlight on the groundbreaking works of iconic Filipino designers, where tradition intertwines seamlessly with innovation:

• Christian Espiritu: Renowned for his visionary designs that reflect Indigenous influences, Espiritu’s collection will transport viewers into a world where cultural heritage meets contemporary elegance.
• Ramon Valera: As a pioneer of the terno’s evolution, Valera’s creations will be celebrated for their graceful construction. They redefine femininity and personal expression through timeless silhouettes.
• Pitoy Moreno: Once a luminary on the international fashion scene, Moreno’s pieces will illustrate the art of blending global trends with local storytelling, showcasing Filipino craftsmanship that has adorned celebrities and dignitaries alike.
• Ben Farrales: With exquisite designs inspired by Muslim culture, Farrales’ showcase will highlight the beautiful diversity of Filipino fashion, where rich fabrics and intricate details tell stories of cultural heritage.
• Aureo Alonzo: Known for his luxurious tailoring and striking designs, Alonzo’s work epitomizes sophistication, appealing to local and global fashion sensibilities, and is often seen gracing the shoulders of prominent figures.
