Experience the joy of making spontaneous vocal music with others! In this four-week introduction to vocal improvisation, we will collaborate to create musical grooves while opening our voices and creating community. Singing has been researched to show a wide variety of health benefits and improvisation adds enhanced creativity and social connection. Through simple games and exercises, we’ll play with the elements of rhythm, harmony, and melody to make spontaneous music. You’ll leave with the basic skills of vocal collaboration to create community and a personal improvisational practice to support mind/body wellness. Singing experience is not required, only a willingness to play and explore with your voice.
