Celebrating five years of The Reser, we’re proud to present the first-ever Reser Presents stand-up comedy show: five years, five comedians, one fantastic night of jokes. Curated by Bri Pruett, the lineup brings Bri alongside local favorites Curtis Cook, Simon Gibson, Felicia Folkes, and host Katie Nguyen for an evening of sharp, hilarious stand-up.

Please note: humor is subjective, and this show contains material rated R and beyond, and may not be appropriate for all ages.

Curtis Cook is a standup comedian and WGA Award-nominated writer who has puked after a keg stand on a show called Flophouse, traveled through an Ebola checkpoint for a segment on Vice News, appeared on IFC’s Portlandia, performed standup on Comedy Central, and been featured on Vulture’s annual Comedians You Should & Will Know list. In addition to performing, Curtis has written for the recent reboot of Crank Yankers, the Imogen Award winning Hulu comedy titled This Fool, the NAACP Award winning series Survival of the Thickest on Netflix, the GLAAD nominated American Dad on TBS, and the hit show Adults on FX.

Felicia Folkes is the kind of comedian who makes you laugh first and realize later she was telling the truth the whole time. Born and raised in Inglewood, California, her comedy is fearless, sharp, and unapologetically real. Her comedy centers around her life as a young Black woman and a recent breast cancer survivor, blending sharp wit with vulnerability and fearless honesty. She began her career as the first Black woman to be a “door guy” at the Comedy Store. Since then, she’s been featured in the LOS ANGELES TIMES and was named one of MEDIUM’s Comics to Watch in 2025.Her stand-up can be seen on HULU and AMAZON PRIME’S (“Iliza’s Locals”), and you can catch her two hilarious Don’t Tell Comedy short specials on YouTube. Most recently, she was seen on NETFLIX, reaching the Top 8 on Kevin Hart’s viral “Funny AF” stand-up competition show. She is one of the newest paid regulars at LA’s The Comedy Store, and can regularly be seen performing at The Laugh Factory, and The Hollywood Improv.

Simon Gibson is the co-host of NBC and USA Network’s CANNONBALL, LA-based comedian Simon Gibson exploded onto the comedy scene after a stand out performance at the Just For Laughs New Faces showcase in Montreal, touring cities across the country and recently appearing in the SYFY series THE MOVIE SHOW and in Netflix’s BREWS BROTHERS. He can currently be seen as one of the leads of the Amazon series INSIDE JOKES, chronicling his journey from backyard open mic comic to the mecca of comedy at JFL Montreal and center stage for the New Faces showcase.  He recently appeared as host for the Kaaboo music/comedy festival as well as NBC’s “Last Call with Carson Daly”. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Simon brings a dynamic combination of high-energy physicality and in-your-face laughs to both stage and screen *Ka-pow*
