Through voices both celebrated and marginalized, the music asks who has been heard, who has been silenced, and how sound itself becomes an act of belonging.

Since its founding in 1990, the Rose City Pride Bands has been a place for LGBTQ+ musicians and supportive friends to play, perform, and participate in Portland’s musical community. Today, the Rose City Pride Bands comprises a wind symphony, a symphonic band, a swing band, and a marching band and colorguard, as well as several smaller performing groups.
