Join Oregon’s progressive orchestra, Orchestra Nova Northwest + Cognizart, for ¡El Espectacular! This joyful and exuberant program features an innovative melding of Pan-American, Taiko, classical music, and dance in a show-stopping performance for all ages.

Weaving together diverse musical traditions from across the Americas, ¡El Espectacular! honors cultural identity and creative innovation through rhythm, color, and connection. Highlights include:

– A brilliant flute concerto by Portland-based composer Giancarlo D’Addona Castro, performed by ONN Executive Director Adam Eccleston.
– A fusion of music and dance featuring Bodyvox’s modern choreography coupled with classical orchestral music.
– A performance by Poison Waters.
– A performance by Young Artists Debut! winners Jin Nakajima and Calvin Stuczynski with composer Yumi Torimaru.
– Young Artists Debut! winner Nikita Istratov performing a Prokofiev piece with the orchestra.
