In this workshop, participants will engage Mic Crenshaw, a cultural activist, emcee, poet, writer and media producer in the art of storytelling and crafting a message with words and rhythm.
Rap. Poetry. Spoken Word. Lyricism. Call & Response.
These forms of rhythmic communication can be used to shape powerful messages about ourselves, who we are, what our purpose is and the communities and worlds we inhabit.
We’ll examine what methods we can employ to utilize the time and space of a beat, rhythm, our voices, words and language to say something powerful, original, memorable and transformative.
