Portland-based artist Kanani Miyamoto’s Across Oceans, a site-specific “printstallation,” combines traditional printmaking practices, Eastern art aesthetics, Hawaiian philosophy, and stylized imagery to create beautiful images that celebrate our common connections. Please join The Reser and the Beaverton Arts Program as Kanani shares her art, tools, and making practice, along with the history and concepts behind her work. Guests will get a glimpse into the hundreds of hand-carved, cut, and pulled prints that went into the making of Across Oceans.
This gallery event is FREE and open to the public with a reserved ticket.
