This June, the Oregon International Ballet Academy (OIBA) brings magic to Beaverton’s Patricia Reser Center for the Arts with Prokofiev’s enchanting classic, Cinderella. This beloved story ballet has timeless, intergenerational appeal, perfect for bringing families and communities together.
OIBA students and ten top-level soloists will transport audiences in this fully produced fairytale, specially choreographed by award-winning Executive Director Ye Li and Artistic Director Xuan Cheng, also the Ballet Master of the world-renowned Hong Kong Ballet. Guest dancer Isichel Perez Rivero of Oregon Ballet Theatre will star in the role of the Prince, and guest actor Sarah Smith brings her immense talent to the role of the Stepmother.
This production precedes OIBA’s highly-anticipated Cultural Exchange to Japan and China this summer. Many of the school’s top dancers who have been with the company since its founding in 2015, are in peak shape preparing for the trip and can be seen in starring roles. Join OIBA in celebrating these dedicated and talented young stars!
