First Friday Artist Reception & Open Mic

All are invited to be part of the “Congruencies | Trans:form(ed)” community, where embodied understanding of transformation is recognized as a shared human condition. Featured in the Open Mic will be a performance by artist b gunn inspired by Tania Bruguera’s socially engaged performance piece “Tatlin’s Whisper #6” (Havana Version). “Congruencies | Trans:form(ed)” is encouraging those navigating a trans, gender non-conforming (GNC) identity journey, and their community, to utilize the open mic as a platform for expressing themselves in ways that feel nourishing, empowering, and healing.
