Japanese American artist Sandra Honda examines the historical trauma, generational grief, and long-term impacts of mass incarceration in the US of people of Japanese ancestry during World War II. In this intimate talk, Honda shares stories of being Asian/American in context of an ever-changing world, and how that inspired her extensive research and art-making process. Weaving together personal and historical elements of identity and reckoning, Honda asks viewers to consider their own perspectives.
