First Friday – Red Thread: Green Earth | Friday, December 2nd | 6 – 9 pm

Presenting a dynamic and culturally transformative body of work from Studio Abioto, Red Thread: Green Earth features the self-defining work of Midnite, Intisar, Dr. Wood Chopper, Ni, Amenta Yawa, and Medina Abioto. Combining visuals, storytelling, and performance from the collective lens of African diasporic culture, the multi-media exhibition continues this month with the addition of small gifts of art for sale during First Friday. Artists will be in attendance to share their creative philosophy, stories of imagination, and the evolving primordial connection of Black women and their art to the deep ecologies of the earth.
