Kanani Miyamoto, an individual of mixed heritage and who most identifies with her Hawaiian and Japanese roots has combined Eastern art aesthetics and techniques with Hawaiian philosophy to create Across Oceans, a dramatic and expansive installation at The Reser and Beaverton Building at City Hall. Guests are invited to experience a one-of-a-kind hands-on workshop and learn how to pull your own collaged Mokuhanga prints.
All materials and tools are provided, and pre-carved blocks will be available for attendees to experiment with. Take your prints home to create your own installation and make a few extra to add to the community installation later this fall. Seating is limited.
$75 (max 25 participants)
