What could be better on a late spring afternoon than stopping by The Reser for a one-hour, no-intermission classical piano recital by one of the world’s greatest pianists? In this special program tailored specially for busy folks on the go, the 6:00 p.m. recital by Jon Kimura Parker will be the perfect interlude after the workday or in between afternoon and evening errands. Mr. Parker’s program will be a grand tour of the world of the piano in just one hour – from the “Moonlight Sonata” to a dazzling fantasy on themes from The Wizard of Oz, with astoundingly virtuosic music of Brahms and more in between. Presented by Portland Piano International as a fun preview to Mr. Parker’s two fuller-length recitals in Portland on June 4 & 5. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase before and after the recital in The Reser’s splendid lobby. For more information about this recital and all the artists being presented this season by PPI, please visit portlandpiano.org.
