    Young Artists Concert

    The Beaverton Symphony Orchestra’s program lineup includes music composed by Pacific Northwest native Angelique Poteet’s Spring Grove and Joannes Brahms Symphony No. 4 in E minor. BSO is thrilled to also feature two of the (pre-pandemic) 2020 Young Artists Competition winners, Nate Strothkamp on violin and David Chvorun on piano as part of their 12th Annual Young Artist Concert, sponsored by OnPoint Community Credit Union.

    The BSO Young Artist Competition, established in 2009, brings the best of Washington County’s young musicians together for an annual performance showcase and scholarship opportunity. The showcase winners perform as soloists with the orchestra.

    The Beaverton Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director Travis Hatton, is comprised of passionate local musicians who come together to create a classical musical experience that can be shared with the entire community. The BSO is committed to enriching the performing arts culture of the Beaverton area and making classical music accessible to the broadest possible audience.

    • Pablo de Sarasate – Carmen Concert Fantasy, Op. 25 Nate Strothkamp, violin 

    • Béla Bartók – Piano Concerto No. 3 in E Major, Sz. 119 – 3rd David Chvorun, piano 

    Johannes Brahms Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98
