Tony Award-Winner * Disney Legend * Broadway Star
Multiple award-winning actress and singer Lea Salonga brings her unmistakable voice to The Reser. Celebrated for her powerful performances and perfect pitch, Salonga’s big break came when she snagged the role of Kim in the megahit musical Miss Saigon, for which she won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Since then, Salonga has starred in Broadway productions of Les Misérables, Once on this Island, Allegiance, and more. In this special evening at The Reser, Salonga smartly weaves together pop hits and Broadway standards, in addition to the songs she’s made famous as the singing voice of Disney princesses Jasmine (Aladdin) and Fa Mulan (Mulan and Mulan II).
Lea Salonga claimed her theatrical crown at 18, when she created the role of Kim in the epic musical Miss Saigon in London’s West End and, subsequently, on Broadway. Salonga went on to be the first actress of Asian descent to play both Eponine and Fantine in Les Misérables on Broadway.
The Dream Again tour will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Salonga recording the iconic Disney love song A Whole New World as Princess Jasmine in Aladdin in 1992. Younger fans will also recognize Salonga’s pitch-perfect tones from her roles as the singing voice of Fa Mulan in Mulan and Mulan II. These three films earned Salonga the official title of Disney Legend.
