Gallery Update from our Executive Director

    Dear Friends and Supporters,

The fall signals the opening of the season at The Reser. We are excited to welcome you to our 24-25 season, including the re-opening of the Art Gallery! Sadly, the Gallery has been closed since early 2024, when it sustained water damage during the winter storm. In the meantime, our creative staff found ways to bring remarkable artwork and artists to The Reser, including Across Oceans by Kanani Miyamoto, which will adorn the windows of The Reser through May 2025, pop up activities for the community, and an exhibit of Issam Abdallah’s photographs on the ground floor of the parking garage next door.

We have been working with our landlord, the City of Beaverton, to repair the ceiling. Due to unforeseen delays and complexities regarding the insurance claim, the repair work is taking longer than expected to get started. Both the City and we, as the operator of The Reser, are committed to getting the work done as soon as possible while being conscientious to not disrupt programs and events. We, like you, are eager for our beloved Art Gallery to open permanently again, and to restore the facility using the highest-grade materials and standards. We will update you on a plan for a full repair when it becomes available.

In the meantime, we have completed temporary repairs so that that the space can by utilized safely and we can welcome you all back to the Gallery. We are excited to announce that the Art Gallery will reopen on Friday, November 1 for The Curio! The exhibition and sale features 50 local artists, and will take place in the Gallery and Lobby of The Reser through the holidays.

I welcome you to please come and support The Curio and all of the artists! You can find more information on our Gallery Update Frequently Asked Questions and the The Curio exhibition web page.

I look forward to seeing you at the Art Gallery at The Reser!

    With Gratitude,

    Chris Ayzoukian
